About

Allpass is an open-source private information management tool built with Flutter and uses the Apache 2.0 open-source license.

Usage Tips

  1. All data in Allpass, including the master password, is stored locally. Therefore, all data will be lost when you uninstall the software. To prevent data loss, you can use the WebDAV sync feature or regularly export data as a CSV file for backup.
  2. The WebDAV feature helps Allpass with data backup and recovery, but it also increases the risk of data leakage. Please keep your WebDAV account secure. Through the "WebDAV Sync" - "Encryption Level" feature, Allpass can encrypt the WebDAV backup files, and only Allpass can decrypt the encrypted backup files.
  3. On the password page, card page, and category details page, you can quickly return to the top by clicking the title in the top bar of the software.
  4. A "category" corresponds to a folder (except for favorites). On the category page, long-pressing a category will take you to the folder management page. Operations on folders (such as deletion and renaming) will affect the category page and all related passwords and cards (if a category is deleted, all data under it will be moved to the default folder).
  5. The category (or folder) feature means that each password or card can only belong to one category, while a password or card can have multiple tags. Using folders and tags effectively can greatly improve the search efficiency.
  6. Search supports direct tag search. If you add multiple tags to a password or card, you can directly enter multiple tag names in the search bar to quickly find it. Note that there should be no other characters or symbols between the tags when searching.
  7. Many people have the habit of saving account passwords in notes. You can use the "Import/Export" - "Import from Clipboard" feature to quickly import from notes. First, select and copy the account passwords from the note, then paste them into the input box on the "Import from Clipboard" page in Allpass, select the corresponding format, and click "Import" to complete the import.
  8. Allpass enables the long-press copy function by default. You can long-press a password or card on the password or card page to quickly copy the password or card number. You can also turn off this function to reduce accidental touches.
  9. In the "Feedback" feature, if you provide your contact information, Allpass will automatically store it (version 1.2.0 and above). This way, you don't need to re-enter it the next time you provide feedback.
  10. Allpass provides a password generator. On the new or edit page of a password or card, click the "< >" symbol in the upper right corner to open the password generator panel. You can select the password format and length to generate a random password for better security.
  11. Allpass added the WebDAV encryption level setting feature in version 1.5.0 and later. The options are no encryption, encrypt only the password field, and full encryption. Note that the password field here does not refer to the password but the password fields in "Passwords" and "Cards".
  12. Allpass added the key update feature (Master Account Management - Encryption Key Update) in version 1.5.0 and later. The key is used by Allpass to encrypt and decrypt your data. If you choose "Encrypt only the key field" or "Full encryption" for the "Encryption Level" during WebDAV backup, you need to use the key used during backup to correctly restore the WebDAV backup.
  13. Since the key is randomly generated, usually all users have different keys. Once you upgrade the key and use the latter two encryption levels for WebDAV, please keep the key safe.
  14. When restoring data from WebDAV, Allpass will try to decrypt the backup file using the current key. If you receive a "Failed to decrypt the backup file" message, it means the encryption key used during backup is different from the current key. You need to enter the key used during backup to continue the restoration.
  15. To prevent the problem of forgetting the master password due to long-term use of fingerprint login, Allpass requires you to enter the master password once every 7 days by default. You can also set this in "Master Account Management" - "Periodic Master Password Input".
